Most people complete open water certification in 3–5 days of training, often spread over two weekends. Online coursework can be done at your own pace before pool and open water sessions.
Basic swimming ability is required — you'll need to swim 200 yards unaided and tread water for 10 minutes. You don't need to be fast, just comfortable. Most shops offer refresher swim sessions if you need to build confidence first.
No. Matching is completely free for divers. We earn a small referral fee from partner shops only after you book a lesson — and only if you're happy with the match.
